Sandy's adventures
Welcome to our School !
Gemeinschaftsgrundschule Obersmauerstrasse.
It is a primary school with a total of 8 classes and a population of about 140 pupils.Their ages are from 6 to 10. Compared to other schools in the area it is quite a small one.
The school is situated between Duisburg's main shopping mall and the harbour.It is very close to a big playground, the theatre, the city's Public Library and lots of cultural sites.
Lessons start from 8.00am till 1.00pm but some children stay at schooltill 4.00pm. These pupils have lunch at school and play together at the Kid's Club.
We are very happy to be participating in this Comenius project together with schools from Malta, England, Spain, Poland and Romania. Our Mascot is Sandy, the squirrel. Sandy is visiting all the other countries and when she comes back she gets us many pictures of our friends. We get to know about the other countries when the teachers show us the diaries of the other mascots and also the Power Point Presentations.

Between the 9th and 13th December I visited Malta to meet all my friends. I visited the school, made many friends and I went to see many interesting places in Malta.
